Star of Cbeebies comes out to play for Lichfield Panto

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Star of BBC children’s TV show Let’s Play and Time For School, Rebecca Keatley, has been confirmed to appear in the 2016 Lichfield Garrick annual pantomime.

Rebecca, adored by pre-schoolers everywher, will be making her Lichfield debut and is incredibly excited to perform as Princess Moonbeam in Sleeping Beauty at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre in Staffordshire.

Rebecca commented:

“I’m delighted to be spending the festive season in Lichfield. I’m looking forward to spreading some fairy magic at the Lichfield Garrick and taking part in this spellbinding Christmas pantomime.”

NOTHING LIKE A LOCAL DAME

Also making into the leading line up of  the Lichfield panto is local actor Sam Rabone.   Sam, from Sutton Coldfield, will be joining the cast playing the Dame, Nurse Nellie

Sam has built up a sparliking repuatation as a leading Dame in pantomime’s across the UK, and thrilled to be coming to Lichfield.

Sam Rabone said:

“I’m over the moon to play the dame at the Lichfield Garrick! Having travelled the country from Scotland to Somerset, Lichfield is only a stone throw away from my home town of Sutton Coldfield. People of Lichfield be prepared to see a show with more laughter than ever before!”

 

NEW PRODUCERS

The 2016 pantomime at the Staffordshire theatre will this year be produced by a new team, Evoloution Productions, who also stage the annual seasonal spectaular at the Severn Theatre in Shrewsbury, as well as many more across the country.

Lichfield Garrick has teamed up with Evolution Pantomimes run by Telford born panto producing veteran Paul Hendy – probably better known as a TV presenter, having presented shows such as ITV’s ‘Wheel of Fortune’, ‘The Disney Club’ and ‘Don’t Try This At Home’ with Davina McCall.

the Lichfield venues long standing Panto man, (or should that be Dame), Ian Adams finished his 9th panto at the venue in 10 years this last season (2015), and moves over to ‘strut his corsets’ at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre for their 2016 panto.
