[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]For one night only The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery will be transformed in 221b Baker Street as you take a step back in time and experience The Singular Exploits of Sherlock Holmes.

Live, in front of your very eyes, the greatest fictional sleuth of all time springs back to life in these stirring adaptations of the Conan Doyle classics. A high-energy one-man show, featuring a plethora of dashing heroes, villainous rogues and vintage thrills

Presented by Don’t Go Into The Cellar! Theatre Company, the show is an affectionate one-man homage to the world’s greatest detective that includes quick costume changes, humour and audience participation.

WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Set on the brink of the Great War, we see the remarkable detective on the cusp of retirement, and without Dr Watson.  However, a spate of mysterious deaths calls him to the Sussex Coast, whereat Sherlock must face one of the deadliest foes he has ever encountered…

Meanwhile, the late Professor Moriarty’s right-hand man, Count Negretto Sylvius, plots to avenge his master’s death by bringing about the downfall of the Baker Street sleuth!

WHO IS IT BY?

Performed by Don’t Go Into The Cellar! Theatre Company; the British Empire’s finest practitioners of theatrical Victoriana in the macabre vein!

Don’t Go Into The Cellar! perform at venues across the UK, from theatres to manor houses and festivals. Their shows offer an original take on traditional Victorian and Edwardian literature – perfect for people seeking good, old-fashioned theatrical entertainment!

The Singular Exploits of Sherlock Holmes is a true labour of love, written and performed by Jonathan Goodwin, who has the distinction of being, not only a versatile actor, but a true Sherlockian, having joined the London Sherlock Holmes Society aged only 13 (only just pipped to the title of youngest ever member by Stephen Fry).

What this means is that the whole production, while remaining fun and followable, has a fan-boyish feel performed with real passion and expert knowledge of the character and the literary world ion which he lives

The Singular Exploits of Sherlock Holmes is at The Potteries Museum on 29 April 2016.
